Dubby RiRi with a 90s RnB sample thrown in for good measure...

New favourite from the album.

As well put from the Manning, tracks 1-4 not so good, 5 onwards, I'm starting to love!

I found myself singing along to this the first time it came on, and had a niggly feeling I had heard it before. I was right.

Both versions are below, once you hear the original, you will know it for suuuuure (especially the intro!)

Rihanna - Jump

Ginuwine - Pony

You will have to bear with the first few seconds of each video, I did the whole recording and then turning my camera round. This way, they are the right way up for most of the vid....

Disclosure DJ set - Latch

Disclosure DJ set - Latch take two (yeah they played it twice, crowd went off both times...)

Twilight - the end of an era...

If you don't like anything Twilight related this is all going to sound quite wanky so you have been warned. Don't get me wrong I'm not gonna get all gushy and obsessy. I'm not like that. But you can't hide from the fact that it has been a cult through the last 6 years, and most of the people I know have been caught up in it at some point. And guys, we know you have watched it too, and you can say that it was a pile of crap but more fool you for sitting through 5 films if you really 'hated' it that much.

I remember watching the first film not knowing much about any of it to be honest, and then coming out of the cinema, and just falling in love with all of it. That feeling you get when you come out of the cinema and are just like, wow. The story, the soundtrack, and yes good old Rob. Us Buffy fans had been looking for something to fill that vampire shaped hole since it left our teenage angsty lives back in college and this fit it perfectly.

The soundtrack got me the most, I almost looked forward to it as much as I did waiting for the films to come out. Paramore, Muse, The Black Keys, Band of Skulls, Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, James Vincent McMorrow, Bruno Mars, Passion Pit, OKGO, Angus and Julia Stone. Serious names. Honestly, just listen to the albums as seperate compilations of songs and they are awesome.

Some of my faves are below, some obvious tracks, some surprises if you haven't listened to them before...

James Vincent McMorrow - Ghosts (Breaking Dawn Part 2)

Bruno Mars - It Will Rain (Breaking Dawn Part 1)

Bon Iver & St. Vincent - Roslyn (New Moon)

OKGO - Shoot The Moon (New Moon)

Death Cab For Cutie - Meet Me On The Equinox (New Moon)

Anya Marina - Satellite Heart (New Moon)

And who can forget Paramore - Decode (Twilight)

Cyril Hahn - guilty pleasures made cool again...

I'd heard the Mariah Carey remix about six months back loved it, but didn't really take notice of who did it, forgot all about it and then got reminded of Cyril Hahn a couple of days ago by a friend.

Guilty pleasures like Destinys Child - Say My Name, Mariah Carey - Touch My Body (loved it first time round, not gonna lie) and new additions like Solange - Losing You are all worth a listen on his sound cloud. Nice and chilled.

His soundcloud can be found at http://soundcloud.com/cyrilhahn
Enjoy.

Happy New Rihanna Day!

Ok, so it came out a few days ago, so I'm a bit late on that one. But I know it's gonna be good. It was only a while ago that I was super excited about Talk That Talk coming out, so either the last year has flown by, she has been a busy gal or a bit of both.

Only heard snippets so far, I'm already in love. I know she can be a bit of a douche sometimes, but damn she fine. And yeah she might not be the best live singer in the world, but her recording voice is amazing. I bet you felt the same euphoria the first time you heard We Found Love, drunk in a club with your mates, or the memories you get from when Umberella played that entire summer. And Drunk on Love feat The XX. Maaaaaan. So good. And on Jay Z's label? Pssh easy.

I find it odd that girls seem to be more in love with her than the boys do. Most of the responses are kind of take it or leave it from the guys I have brought it up with, then most of the girls you ask about her, she is on their number one girlcrush list (including myself). Oddness. Probably something to do with having Chris Brown and Drake fight over her too. Don't know a girl who wouldn't say no to that!

Right now off her new album I have got Love Without Tragedy/Mother Mary on repeat. Argh! So good! Love love love it. Can't wait to get obsessed with the rest of the album. Cheers RiRi.
