Katy Hudson Illustration
Can't believe I haven't blogged about it until now, but my lovely friend Katy Hudson is a extremely talented illustrator and I just want to show you how great her work is! Julia Stone ... I think I'm in love...
Words cannot describe how much I am in love with Julia Stone's voice. Massive girlcrush. What is it with all these girls with Stone as their last name? I want to be them!

Olympic Torch, Humpadinck and a Jubilee Jamboree!
So May and June have been pretty celebratory months what with the olympic torch making its way round the south west, the I popped home for the olbligatory annual Eurovision Party and then last weekend saw 4 days of celebrations for the Queen.
I was a bit of an Olympic Torch stalker and managed to catch it before I went to work in Bristol on the morning and then it made its way down past Eagle Tower in Cheltenham on the evening before it mades its way to the Racecourse. It was so great to see so so many people fill the pavements and streets waiting to see it come past, and it was such a fuzzy warm feeling to see everyone come together. Loved it.
Even the policemen were getting in on the action!
And then the weekend just gone saw the Jubilee celebrations finally come around. We had a big Jubilee party in my not so big flat, and due to the typical British weather we had to bring the outdoor party indoors, but with a gazebo, plenty of tables, chairs, bunting and my wonderful Queens head jelly mould and tattoos from lydialeith.com the whole thing was a success. And then the evening after we finished off the weekend by going to watch the Jubilee flame being lit on Clifton Downs. A good time had by all and I really feel like everyone has got their British pride back, hurrah!

Screenprinting On The Cheap
Screenprinting On The Cheap is a website that I found whilst scouring the internet for screen printing courses as I really really want to get in to, and have never done it before.
The concept is, well exactly what is says - screenprinting on the cheap. They aim to make screenprinting more accessible to artists and designers by explaining and demonstrating how it can be done in your own home. I love all their branding for it and because they are American they have got this massive 'can-do' attitude and have signed up to Kickstarter - another thing that I think is a genius idea.
Basically you have a project, product, idea, invention, whatever that you want to start up, but don't have the funds. You create a profile on Kickstarter, explain what it is you are going to do, and how much you need to start it up, and then if people believe in your idea they can pledge a certain amount of money. The pledgers then get your product/book/project etc when you finally have the funds to have gone through with it.
So for example with Screenprinting On The Cheap, you pledge money so they can make the $10,000 dollars they need to produce their book, and then when they have the money, they can go ahead and produce it, and the pledgers get the book.
I have pledged $25 as you know, money is a bit tight this month, but it means that I will get a PDF version of the book to download when they have created the project. And if it all falls through? You don't have to pay your pledge. Simples. You are acting more of a backer than a buyer.

ASHA Newspaper 'The Moon On A Stick' featured on The Creative Review Blog
Over the last few months we have all been beavering away at ASHA to create 'Moon on a Stick' a newspaper that not only talks about different projects that ASHA have worked on, but also delves into the age old fight of whether agencies can work outside of London.
